Look at me again!
I kept my fingers crossed and hope Bebe would be in a normal weight range today. Bebe put on another 500g and weighs 1.3 kg today. Dr Ang declared normal range and I was relieved. Later I took my weight and found that I hadn't put on any weight for the past month. Yeah! This means I can go indulge myself on my fav cakes and chocolates again!Bebe, as usual was very showy. Showed his/her full face again when Dr performed the ultrasound. Our past scans were all Bebe's face. Maybe Bebe will grow up to like taking photos...

Bebe's looking at us!

We can't wait to see Bebe again! All this while, I've been feeling Bebe wriggling and squirming in my tummy. Today, I'm going to see what this little fella is up to. Our gynae focused the scan on our darling's face today. Bebe's head was down, which is a good position for birth but still too early cos Bebe's bound to shift around again.
Bebe looked very adorable with chubby cheeks. Clem proudly proclaimed that Bebe has his cheeks. And saw the little nose. Well, both our noses aren't fab so can't tell whose Bebe's resembles.
Later, we were told that Bebe weighs a whooping 800g! What a shock! Just a month ago, Bebe was half that weight. No wonder Bebe's kicks were so powerful! Well, the disappointment was that I had to cut down on my sugars and carbo. And check with my mom whether I was a big baby as it could be hereditary. It must have been those ice cream, chocolates, cakes and bread. Anyway, it was heartening to know that the weight distributed between Bebe and I. Ok, enough of self deception. I'd better cut down on these otherwise I'd have a hard time delivering if Bebe continues to grow exponentially, I was warned.

Prancing mommy, Kicking Baby
I can't believe I still have so much energy to jump and prance about. Just on Sunday, I was a Power "Puff" Girl, fighting the evil Mojo Jojo. Today, I acted as a genie for my organisation's conference. I really don't feel the weight at all. By I did suffer mild leg cramps... Guess i still had to surrender to effects of pregnancy.

Bebe, as usual, has been very active. This time, beside kicking and punching, he/she's been trying different stunts. Just a few days ago, Clem and I witnessed movements across my belly with occasional nudges and bumps. We said Bebe is "shifting house". Clem is such an adoring dad. He's never failed to talk and kiss Bebe everyday. We can't wait to have our little one in our arms to hold and kiss and cuddle...

Daddy teasing Bebe
Clement: Did a little experiment with Bebe: Asked Bebe if he/she wanted to go swimming. If yes, to kick my hand twice. If not, then don't acknowledge. Then I placed my hand below Ann's belly button. Bebe really KICKED twice... and some more times there after, as if he/she really wanted to go swimming with us. I tried another spot and told Bebe to kick my hand. And Bebe did! But in the end, both Ann and I were too tired that we knocked out in bed. Still, it was amazing to see Bebe respond to us. Especially during night-time when we talked to Bebe. Can't wait for Babe to arrive.

Playing with Bebe
Clement: Read in one of the books that babies will move towards the spot where you place your hands lovingly. Ann tried it yesterday first by placing her hand on the left side of her tummy and imagined loving thoughts about Bebe. Moments later, Ann could feel Bebe kicking against that spot. Then Ann slowly moved her hand to the right and rested her hand on the right side of her tummy. She could feel Bebe moving from the left to the right, and kicking at the spot where Ann placed her hand. So wonderful and intriguing to know that Bebe can recognise our touches. So clever, my little Bebe!

Tracking Bebe's waking moments
I started to see a pattern in Bebe's waking moments. He/she will start kicking and moving in the following regular timings (there are other random times too):
-- 7+ in the mornings (which means I'll be kicked awake even when I want to sleep longer on Sats)
-- 11+ am (Bebe must be hungry)
-- 4+ pm (tea time?)
-- 7+ pm
-- 11+ pm
-- and whenever Daddy speaks and sings to Bebe

21 weeks
Went for a detailed scan today. Over the past week, Bebe had been really active, punching, kicking and rolling around. Today, even the sonographer said there was a lot of movements as she did the scan. Bebe actually kicked the instrument that was pressing on my tummy. We even saw the movements over the screen. Which is good cos it means Bebe is developing his/her muscle tissues. We're very happy to see Bebe growing so well and healthily! Thank God! Bebe weighs 434g today.

Boy or Girl?
We're not finding out Bebe's gender. Meanwhile, many theories abound. Some look at my tummy and say it's a boy. Others look at my face and say it's a girl. My mum discovered a pimple on my face and concluded it's a boy. Some observed my eating habits and say it's a girl. My father studied his family history and Clem's and claimed it's a boy. We're just short of setting up a betting line...

Bebe's responses
Clement: I was still sleeping in the morning when Soann suddenly pulled my hand onto her belly and whispered, "Can you feel something?" My mind was awake but my eyes still closed. I could feel a little nudge on Ann's tummy. Bebe was punching! That night I was eager to speak to Bebe and see if Bebe could respond. I sang Bebe a song and talked to Bebe. Then I placed my ear on Ann's tummy to hear any movement. Behold! I felt two distinct nudges at my ear. Amazing! Was Bebe trying to talk to me? So exciting! Bebe must have heard my voice.

It's a... It's a...
Clement: Went for our 5th gynea appt. Ann is already in her 2nd trimester and getting less tired. Bebe has grown to 13.6cm, weighing 200g! And Ann had only put on another 500g after 1 month. Dr Ang asked us if we want to know Bebe's gender. We want to keep it a surprise. But he was dying to tell us. He was more eager than us!

Dun invade my space!!
Ann: I was working on my PC late at night and felt a bump (something like a slight punch)from inside my tummy. Initially I thought it was my nerve or something so I ignored it. But it happened a few more times after that, hitting my shorts waistband. Is it too tight for you? I asked my Bebe and shifted my shorts. Later Bebe punched against the shifted waistband. From then I found that Bebe didn't like pressure in his/her home...

Bebe's 1st movements (16 wks)
Ann: I was at the church service when I felt something in my tummy. It felt like butterflies fluttering. I've never had this feeling before and it was kind of cute...
