Bebe's looking at us!

We can't wait to see Bebe again! All this while, I've been feeling Bebe wriggling and squirming in my tummy. Today, I'm going to see what this little fella is up to. Our gynae focused the scan on our darling's face today. Bebe's head was down, which is a good position for birth but still too early cos Bebe's bound to shift around again.

Bebe looked very adorable with chubby cheeks. Clem proudly proclaimed that Bebe has his cheeks. And saw the little nose. Well, both our noses aren't fab so can't tell whose Bebe's resembles.

Later, we were told that Bebe weighs a whooping 800g! What a shock! Just a month ago, Bebe was half that weight. No wonder Bebe's kicks were so powerful! Well, the disappointment was that I had to cut down on my sugars and carbo. And check with my mom whether I was a big baby as it could be hereditary. It must have been those ice cream, chocolates, cakes and bread. Anyway, it was heartening to know that the weight distributed between Bebe and I. Ok, enough of self deception. I'd better cut down on these otherwise I'd have a hard time delivering if Bebe continues to grow exponentially, I was warned.

Prancing mommy, Kicking Baby

I can't believe I still have so much energy to jump and prance about. Just on Sunday, I was a Power "Puff" Girl, fighting the evil Mojo Jojo. Today, I acted as a genie for my organisation's conference. I really don't feel the weight at all. By I did suffer mild leg cramps... Guess i still had to surrender to effects of pregnancy.

Bebe, as usual, has been very active. This time, beside kicking and punching, he/she's been trying different stunts. Just a few days ago, Clem and I witnessed movements across my belly with occasional nudges and bumps. We said Bebe is "shifting house". Clem is such an adoring dad. He's never failed to talk and kiss Bebe everyday. We can't wait to have our little one in our arms to hold and kiss and cuddle...

Daddy teasing Bebe

Clement: Did a little experiment with Bebe: Asked Bebe if he/she wanted to go swimming. If yes, to kick my hand twice. If not, then don't acknowledge. Then I placed my hand below Ann's belly button. Bebe really KICKED twice... and some more times there after, as if he/she really wanted to go swimming with us. I tried another spot and told Bebe to kick my hand. And Bebe did! But in the end, both Ann and I were too tired that we knocked out in bed. Still, it was amazing to see Bebe respond to us. Especially during night-time when we talked to Bebe. Can't wait for Babe to arrive.

Playing with Bebe

Clement: Read in one of the books that babies will move towards the spot where you place your hands lovingly. Ann tried it yesterday first by placing her hand on the left side of her tummy and imagined loving thoughts about Bebe. Moments later, Ann could feel Bebe kicking against that spot. Then Ann slowly moved her hand to the right and rested her hand on the right side of her tummy. She could feel Bebe moving from the left to the right, and kicking at the spot where Ann placed her hand. So wonderful and intriguing to know that Bebe can recognise our touches. So clever, my little Bebe!
